Pentas Revitalisasi Seni Ujungan Kabupaten Purbalingga di Griya Seni Katamas Desa Karangtalun
Ujungan merupakan adu manusia dengan properti berupa sebatang rotan. Pelaku ujungan adalah laki-laki dewasa yang memiliki kekuatan untuk menahan gempuran pukulan lawan. Sebelum beradu pukul, pemain ujungan menari-nari dengan iringan tepuk dan sorak-sorai penonton. Ritual ini hanya dilaksanakan pada saat terjadi kemarau panjang, Di Kabupaten Purbalingga, Seni Ujungan sedang direvitalisasi agar menjadi seni pertunjukan yang tak usang oleh jaman Seni rakyat ini, biasanya dilaksanakan pada akhir mangsa Kapat (pranata mangsa Jawa) atau sekitar bulan September. Dalam tradisi masyarakat Banyumas, ujungan dilakukan dalam hitungan ganjil misalnya satu kali, tiga kali, lima kali atau tujuh kali. Apabila sekali dilaksanakan ujungan belum turun hujan maka dilaksanakan tiga kali. Jika dilaksanakan tiga kali belum turun hujan maka dilaksanakan sebanyak lima kali. Demikian seterusnya hingga turun hujan. Ujungan masih berkembang di wilayah perbatasan kabupaten Banyumas, Purbalingga dan Banjarnegara, antara lain di wilayah Kecamatan Somagede (Kabupaten Banyumas), Kecamatan Susukan (Kabupaten Banjarnegara), dan Kecamatan Kemangkon (Kabupaten Purbalingga). Ujungan dilaksanakan dengan tujuan untuk memohon kepada Sang Penguasa Alam Semesta akan datangnya hujan demi kelestarian hidup warga masyarakat. Ujungan dilakukan oleh dua orang pria yang masing-masing membawa senjata berupa sebatang rotan dengan panjang kurang lebih 60 centi meter (cm). Rotan digunakan untuk memukul lawannya dengan sasaran mulai dari pusar kebawah. Pertarungan dipimpin oleh seorang wasit yang disebut wlandang. Satu ronde pertarungan disebut satu pajon. Di dalam satu pajon inilah para peraga ujungan bertarung dengan lawannya hingga ada salah satu yang dinyatakan kalah. Masyarakat setempat percaya bahwa semakin banyak darah yang keluar di arena pertarungan maka hujan akan semakin cepat turun. Disisi lain ujungan juga merupakan bentuk upacara ritual tradisional. Justru motivasi utama diselenggarakannya ujungan adalah dalam rangka memohon datangnya hujan kepada Sang Pencipta. Aktivitas visual yang dapat isaksikan dalam penyelenggaraan ujungan lebih sekedar sabagai sarana ungkap ekspresi kejiwaan yang proses tujuannya adalah hubungan ritual antara manusia dengan Tuhan yang ditujukan demi kelestarian hidup di dunia.Dalam penyelenggaraan ujungan, peran serta penonton menjadi keberhasilan dikarenakan adanya semangat dan dukungan, di sisi lain penyelenggaraan ujungan dianggap berhasil apabila segera turun hujan yang membasahi tanah pertanian dan sumber air sebagai usaha bagi kelestarian hidup masyarakat setempat. Oleh karena itu tiap-tiap peraga ujungan dalam pertarungannya tidak sekedar mempertaruhkan kekuatan fisik dan harga diri, melainkan juga melapisi dirinya dengan kekuatan-kekuatan gaib agar mampu mengalahkan lawan.Sebelum mengikuti ujungan para peraga terlebih dahulu melakukan berbagai macam rialat (laku batin dengan cara mengurangi makan dan tidur) seperti tirakat, puasa, ngrawot, ngebleng, dan mutih. Suatu hal yang menarik dalam penyelenggaraan ujungan di dalamnya mengandung tiga unsur sekaligus dalam satu waktu, yaitu aktivasi seni, olahraga beladiri, dan upacara ritual minta hujan. Ujungan adalah aktivasi seni gerak yang dilakukan di lapangan terbuka dengan peraga berjenis kelamin pria. Melalui aktivitas ujungan para peraga mengungkapkan pengalaman estetisnya melalui bentuk-bentuk gerak spontan yang diiringi oleh tepuktangan dan sorak penonton yang mengelilinginya arena pertunjukan. Oleh karena itu ujungan selain sebagai sarana ekspresi estetis juga dapat berfungsi sebagai sarana aktualisasi diri seseorang di lingkungan sosialnya. Berbeda dengan yang diungkapkan (Wahyu, 2000:3) bahwa ujungan merupakan ritual tradisi yang menggabungkan tiga jenis seni yaitu seni musik (sampyong), seni tari silat (uncul) dan seni bela diri tongkat (ujungan). Keistimewaan lain yang terdapat pada tradisi ujungan ialah terdapatnya sikap menjujung tinggi nilai sportivitas, persaudaraan, rasa nasionalisme dan semangat patriotisme sebagai generasi penerus bangsa.Ujungan dapat dikategorikan olahraga beladiri karena dilakukan dengan mengandalkan kekuatan fisik dan pada akhir ronde (pajon) dinyatakan siapa yang menang dan siapa yang kalah. Ujungan merupakan bentuk olahraga beladiri tradisional yang menampilkan perang tanding satu lawan dengan dipimpin oleh seorang wlandang. Anda semoga sepaham dengan Pemerintah Desa Bringin, yang di tahun 2020 mengagendakan kegiatan studi banding dalam rangka peningkatan kapasitas masyarakatnya. Banyak hal yang bisa dipelajari dari tempat lain, sesuatu yang sering teramat sulit dilakukan di desa kita, akan menjadi tidak sukar untuk dilakukan di desa yang lain. Proses mengamati, tiru dan modifikasi bisa menjadi salah satu strategi cepat, mudah dan murah dalam rangka membangun desa kita. Itulah yang dilakukan Pemdes Bringin Kecamatan Batealit, Kabupaten Jepara yang telah melaksanakan studi banding bersama kelembagaan desanya, pada tanggal 19 Desember 2020 di Katamas (Kampung Wisata Tematik Sikadut) Desa Karangtalun Kecamatan Bobotsari Kabupaten Purbalingga. Tentu saja kunjungan sejumlah 50 orang dari Jepara ini, menerapkan standar protokol kesehatan yang ketat dalam rangka menyikapi adanya penyebaran virus Covid 19, sesuatu yang membuat acara kunjungan ini harus melalui tahapan dan perlakuan yang telah ditentukan pemerintah. Kegiatan studi banding ini diawali dengan paparan dari Kepala Desa Karangtalun, Bapak Heru Catur Wibowo dan General Manajer Katamas Bapak Misroni, bercerita banyak tentang teknik sederhana membangun desa berbasis masyarakat. Bagaimana masyarakat bisa guyub rukun membangun mimpinya secara bersama-sama. Bagaimana dengan uang yang sangat terbatas, mampu membangun Katamas yang berbasis nilai dan produk. Bagaimana wisata tidak dimaknai sederhana sebagai sebuah keindahan belaka, tetapi tentang hakekatnya sebagai prime mover ekonomi. Bagaimana nilai-nilai kearifan lokal tetap terjaga dan justru terbangun dan menjadi perubah paradigma positif masyarakatnya. Sebuah inisisasi konsep wisata berbasis story nomic dan story telling tourism. Konsep dan pendekatan baru di bidang pariwisata yang berbasis pada nilai. Setelah paparan, peserta studi banding berkunjung kepada griya-griya yang ada di Katamas dengan didampingi Local Guide (Pemandu Lokal) dari Dusun Sikadut yang sudah bersertifikat pemandu wisata kelas propinsi.
